Staff was very welcoming and helpful, room was very nice and homey, and the location couldn't have been better in my opinion.
The people working in the restaurant weren't very nice, especially the old lady. Breakfast was also very dissapointing, I had to stick to bread and butter.
Its location - it is out of the main centre but right next to the main water transport pick up point. We stayed at a room at the 'back Hotel', not facing the canals, and it was quite - when you walk out of this back Hotel, you just to turn right into a little square with a small church from your lobby and walk about 15 meters right into the main hotel lobby for breakfast. Enjoyed the breakfasts - bacon, eggs toast, sweet things, fruits, yogurts and juices.
Aircon did not work the first night and humidity is high in Venecia but they fixed it immediatly the next morning.
Very convenient, modest price out of season, nice rooms but not large, airconditioning worked.
Internet very poor, broken for two days, intermittent most of the time, poor signal strength, constant need to login. Should be addressed, internet is now as important as food and water and should be included in the charge for the room. Facilities modest.
A really lovely old hotel, we had a room that looked on to the square. The quietest room we have ever stayed in (apart from the 6pm chimes!). Full of character , Venetian decor , walking distance to everything. Would definitely use again.
No it is an old hotel but to find fault for the sake of it would be very picky indeed, though that doesn't seem to stop some people I notice!
Great location - no bridges to carry suitcases once leaving vaporetto at St Marks stop. Large room by Venice standards and decent breakfast.
The location was ideal and the staff, Hans and Tomas, were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us.
We got to use the other hotels services and restaurants.
The hotel was of a very high standard particularly as we got up-graded to the Savoy Yolanda hotel. The views were fantastic and the service great. I would recommend it. It is very close to the water bus stop as well and is central to all main sites of the city.
My stay in the this hotel was excellent. The room was small but comfortable. The location was superb. Around the corner from St Marks square and bridge of sighs. It is situated in a quiet street facing a church on a pretty square. The staff were friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend this hotel.
The receptionist who checked us in was very accommodating & friendly, although I found out after we checked out that he missed telling us about what the hotel offers for guest like trip to Murano island which we could have done if we knew about it. It was good that they offer breakfast with the accommodation , not many choices in the area, specially early morning. There were varieties of food to choose from for breakfast. The restaurant was excellent, good menu choices & nice view if you seat outside
The room is small, needs repainting of furnitures.
An excellent location close to St Marks Square in Venice but with the accommodation set back slightly from the waterfront, this hotel offers excellent value-for-money in a prime location. This year visitors take their breakfast in the waterfront restaurant of the associated Savoy y Jolanda hotel just two minutes walk away. Staff are particularly helpful, rooms modernised and comfortable, and the overall location on the square San Zaccaria and close to the San Zaccaria waterbus stop for the airport is excellent.
We had bookaed at Hotel Igea, and on arrival upgraded us to their 4 star sister hotel next door, same rate, and much better value. The staff were very attentive, gave good advice, and on early checkout offered us a breakfast takeaway pack, and hot coffees to see us on our way. Hotel so central with airport laguena line ferry stop right outside the hotel at San Zaccharia
Two offers for personalised trips to Murano glassworks which would end up obliging one to buy stuff.
Reception and breakfast in other hotel.
It was lovely and I was treated like a princess. The room was so beautiful and I slept well. Breakfast was exceptional, and the staff at the desk was also exceptional. I found, however, the staff in the breakfast room no quite as friendly, but otherwise my stay was absolutely delightful and I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place. Right on the Grand Canal, but not in a particularly crowded location. All sites that I wished to visit were easily accessible by foot or vaporetto.
Excellent breakfast!!, friendly staff, super location near san marco!, Every day the room was cleaned. We enjoyed our stay at the villa igea hotel!
